We are on a journey to establish another plumb line - the Lord's. What is good for Him? If it is good for Him it will be good for His people. He is not worshipped with man's hands as if He needs anything. He is not impressed with what we build. Our righteousness is like filthy rags to Him. He does not want people to look at the church or the pastor or apostle or prophet and proclaim their greatness or accomplishments, nor does He want people to look at people and proclaim their achievements, even though the achievements seem to be for His Kingdom. If it is not for Him, it is not from Him. Many things done to expand the Kingdom may be done for ourselves if it is not done in brokenness and an understanding of the fact that we can never share His glory. The problem is that while we are building something on the earth, the temptation to share in the glory exists. I would rather lead an underground church that can not be seen, but that is available to minister, worship, serve, and even die only for His glory. A church where the people are not tempted to have another agenda and score some Brownie points through building something they think God desires. What I fear is that I will be held accountable for the structures that I as a leader have kept in place that gave people the excuse they needed to take the glory or hide behind the structure so that they never have to speak to God themselves.
